Artemis Racing’s trophy collection across sailing is second to none with the sailors and designers sharing an incredible 14 America’s Cup victories.
They also boast 21 Olympic campaigns, seven Olympic gold medals and 27 World Championship titles.
Last year they showed their quality by taking the victory in the America’s Cup World Series Bermuda.
Their skipper is Iain Percy Britain’s double Olympic gold medallist– also best friend of Sir Ben Ainslie!
The team’s principal, owner and founder, is Swedish entrepreneur Torbjörn Törnqvist, a passionate sailor and successful businessman Artemis Racing represents the Royal Swedish Yacht Club (KSSS), the fifth oldest yacht club in the world.
Formed in 2006, the early years saw the team compete on a number of international sailing circuits, winning the MedCup, the TP52 World Championship and the RC44 Championship World Championship.
Artemis Racing competed in the Louis Vuitton Trophy held in the interim between America’s Cups, before officially announcing their challenge representing Kungliga Svenska Segel Sällskapet (KSSS – the Royal Swedish Yacht Club) in November 2010.
The team had impressive results throughout the America’s Cup World Series, winning the Match Racing title in both Italian Regattas and going on to win the Overall Match Racing title at the end of the 2011 season. The Team also went on to win the Match Racing titles in the first two regattas of the three-part 2012-2013 season.
