LOVE Is All Around hitmakers Wet Wet Wet have been added to the bill of the America’s Cup World Series Portsmouth Live! concert.
The multimillion-selling Scottish pop stars join previously announced acts Spandau Ballet, McBusted and Carly Rae Jepsen at the event on Saturday, July 25.
Wet Wet Wet frontman Marti Pellow said: ‘We are delighted to accept the invitation to perform as part of Portsmouth Live! during the America’s Cup World Series, Portsmouth.
‘We’re from Clydebank in Scotland, an area also steeped in maritime history so we didn’t need asking twice to pay the city a visit.
‘It’ll give our fans in the south a taster of what’s in store when we come back during our Big Picture Tour in 2016.’
During their career, the band have notched up 30 UK chart hits and sold more than 15m singles and albums.

Love Is All Around smashed records when it stayed at the top of the charts for an astounding 15 weeks in 1994.
However, according to the organisers, chart stars Bastille have withdrawn due to ‘unforeseen circumstances’.
Portsmouth Live! is a ticketed music celebration to be held at the Waterfront Festival Arena on Southsea Common during the evenings of the America’s Cup World Series, Portsmouth.
The live music programme begins with the South Coast Proms 2015 featuring The Massed Bands of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines on July 23 and 24.
The evening programme complements four days of racing on the water with Ben Ainslie Racing competing on home waters for the first time.
The organisers refused to comment further on Bastille’s withdrawal, but added that they would deal individually with any fans who bought tickets specifically to see the band.
Tickets are available from ticketmaster.co.uk/ACWSportsmouth.
